2010 Fireball Run Dodge City; Western Beverage Tour

Getting the star tour from John @ Western Beverage; Western Beverage (aka Budwieser Guys) are a local sponsor of the Doge City- Fireball Run. They move 1.5 million packages through this facility to provide 30% of Kanasas beers.

Needless to say, drinks are quite literally on the house… And I lived every beer drinkers dream; John let me take “whatever” I wanted from the swag stash! Awesome… This being said the Bud Canoe was to big as a carry on so I settled for a couple of hats and a T-Shirt!

John is a third generation beer distributer, his grandfather started it at the end of prohibition in the 1960s.

Western Beverage is a big investor in the Dodge Community… And for some odd reason they are just really popular towns folk- think it has something to do with the beer. I’m just sayin’ lol

Fireball Run: Pre-Game Mission 1

As the Fireball Run Adventurally strives to make the event safe and legal, it is important to observe the laws of the states we venture through… no matter how wacky they are.

Your mission: a real state law has been turned into riddle form below, put your heads together, decipher the riddle below and figure out which state it applies to.

Clue: Sweet tooth beware! The following recipe is illegal when served on a certain day of the week in this state (don’t worry, this is not the day of the week we will be visiting this state).

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons vegetable shortening
8 tablespoons very cold cream cheese
1/3 cup ice-cold water
3 (16 ounce) cans water-packed red, tart, pitted cherries, drained and juice reserved
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup potato starch
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg white, lightly beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 scoop of ice cream
